The Dwarka School's adventurous 11 young scouts and 11 guides embarked on a memorable journey to Kadepathar Jejuri for a district-level camp on the morning of 31st December, continuing into the fresh dawn of 1st January 2024. The spirited cohort, accompanied by dedicated teachers, commenced their expedition at the crack of dawn.

Upon arrival, the students swiftly set up their campsite, pitching tents and organizing their belongings efficiently. The day commenced with fervent practice for the march past, a discipline in which the scouts secured the commendable second prize. The camp buzzed with energy as various individual competitions unfolded, spanning artistic expression in a drawing competition, showcasing ingenuity in the 'best out of waste,' and demonstrating knowledge in a written exam. Dhiren Patil and Priyakshi Barua clinched the first and second prizes, respectively, in the drawing competition, showcasing their artistic prowess.

Evening descended with the students coming together to prepare a hearty dinner for all camp attendees, fostering camaraderie and teamwork. As night enveloped the camp, everyone retired to their tents, the day's activities settling into memories.

The following day heralded another early start, marked by spiritual invocations through the Ramdhun and 'Sarv dharma prarthana’. The inspection of tent decorations revealed Dwarka School's scouts and guides' exceptional craftsmanship, securing each group the coveted first prize. A trek to 'Jejuri Khanderaya' followed, where the group received the sacred 'maha prasad' at the temple and savoured lunch amidst its tranquil precincts.

Creativity abounded as the scouts portrayed 'Shivaji's Escape from Agra,' while the guides enacted 'Mangla Gaur,' both earning second prizes for their compelling skits. The pinnacle arrived with the prize distribution ceremony, where Dwarka School's scouts and guides proudly hoisted nine trophies, including the prestigious 'Khari Kamai Award' from the previous year, culminating in the recognition of their outstanding performance throughout the camp.

The expedition not only fortified their scouting skills but also instilled a sense of achievement and camaraderie, encapsulating a transformative experience for the young scouts and guides of Dwarka School.
